To start the project off i began by making a spider (pun not intended) diagram. And to get the just of how a spider looks, with out having to get too close through photos due to being phobic i went to the city museum and drew the two spider models there. because there were so few models i chose to draw the scorpion and the mantis as they are either an arachnid or, personally seen as the rival of the spider respectively.
