Responsive Collaborative - Chosen Brief

For collaborative we were required to make a team of 2-4 people from across different disciplinaries, from either graphics, animation or illustration. These teams were to be formed by having a mutual interest in a live brief that has been set by either D&AD or YCN.

The brief that caught my attention was the Royal Opera house brief where we are required to create a campaign for the royal ballet to try and get young people interested in Ballet. I was drawn to the brief because of my own interest in dance, not that i dance but i like to go see it performed and i wanted to be able to do a brief that could give me the opportunity to produce some animation for a showreel, animation that had a certain level of complexity.

When i got to the table for the brief i was the only animator there which surprised me as it was to me a golden opportunity to practice animation with the brief. So i tried talking to a few illustrators and showed my work on the computer so that they could clearly see what i could do and make an informed decision. After this i was contacted by Kat Williams who asked if we wanted to work together to which i agreed to as she was someone i wanted to work with and we went on to ask Nenah Patel if she wanted to join our group to which she agreed forming a group of three two illustrators and one animator.
