I decided to look for inspiration for characters I looked on Pinterest, searching with the tags of character design and garden. I started by collecting characters that had human features but held the aspects of plants within them, i also looked for insectoid characters but didn't find as many as I had hoped so i led my search into tribal themes with the concept of spirits in mind, thinking of the inclusion of masks and tribal patterns and cloaks. The large image on the far right is where i found most of my inspiration i liked the petite body, so i chose to focus on making my character small.
