As i was struggling with the dragon i decided to put it to one side and do the humanoid characters, starting with the elf as i find females easier to draw than males being faster to draw.I started trying to draw an appealing looking face and features to make her what one would attribute to the word beautiful but she didn't look such so i chose to try and draw a build of more of an athlete as she is a warrior in the books who fights but again the designs were too realistic and didn't fit any mood i could imagine at the time as i hadn't gotten a storyboard. I wanted to come up with an art style which had a comfortable mid way between simple enough to animate but detailed enough to make an interesting animation with action scenes.
