We were given 15 to 20 minutes for these drawings which i made the best use i could of.
My first two drawings were done in graphite, this allowed me to get across different textures and working on A2 allowed me to have more room to draw details large scale with the graphite stick which previously had resulted in some very insulting imagery by giving people mildly deformed faces.
The third drawing was the ink drawing. This was interesting to do as i had to work with a constantly changing line thickness as well as a pose that, for the lower half at least was very tricky to draw, legs crossed in a sort of meditation sitting position. for the most part I'm happy how the head turned out because the ink worked well with the wild locks the eyes became a little bigger though because of the brush thickness.
The final two drawings were drawn using a mechanical pencil and i focused on getting all the proportions and face shapes right. While one didn't turn out very well with it looking like the man was a bit older than he was as well as the limbs becoming a lot smaller as i went from the shoulder to the fore arms and the legs to, the body just looked like a large rectangle. The other drawing is a lot more accurate in all aspects with the face and body proportions, I'm actually really proud of it, i think the hands need to be a little bigger however but besides that only ore time to finish the drawing would of been nice.
