When making the turn around using after effects i put a background of a dark tunnel that i found on the internet behind it to make use of the green screen. I had to enlarge and zoom into the animation to remove the wooden board below to make hime fit into the image. It looks a little silly especially as he's running around but it gave me a small insight in on green screening as well as after effects, which i want to make more use of.
To use the green screen we had to make sure there wasn't any excess shadows other wise it would not register the image in those areas causing dark shadows to appear. I used the key light tool to change the green to black and then took the levels down to become pitch black. Then changing the transparency grid i could then go on to add my image below the layer. Also because my model didn't have any blue or green on it i didn't need to raise the white levels to make them visible again, which would of been needed if they were present as they would of also gone transparent.
